Steeped in history, the Davenport Hotel dates back to the early 17th century . The building, in which the elegant Davenport is situated, was formerly known under Merrion Hall, a prayer hall which was designed to be able to accommodate up to 2000 worshippers. Unfortunately, a fire in 1990 destroyed the interior but luckily the impressive and historically important facade survived and is listed and retained as an impressive lobby for the luxurious and traditional O’Callaghan Davenport Hotel, which can be recognized from the movie “Hear my song”. In early 2017 Brodericks were commissioned to redesign the main kitchen and ancillary food service areas as part of modernising of the hotel. As part of a full turn key rip out and fit out, Brodericks handed over the works in late 2017. facebooktwitter
