LÉ Róisín (P51) is the lead ship of her class of offshore patrol vessel in the Irish Naval Service. Commissioned in 1999, the ship’s primary mission is fisheries protection, search and rescue, and maritime protection operations, including vessel boarding’s. As part of a full refit Brodericks were appointed to design and install the new galley kitchen. The compact space was completely reimagined to maximise every section into workable space while improving workflow within a unique and demanding environment. Floors, Walls, Custom Ventilated Ceiling, specially selected Equipment and bespoke S/Steel fabrication all combined seamlessly; with the result best summed up by Inspection & Compliance Officer Gary Jordan | Lieutenant (NS) (OF-2): “Thanks again for everything, the whole thing surpassed everyone’s expectations on this side, even being labelled the best galley of the fleet”..
